Railay Beach
Railay Beach consists of three beaches which are within walking distance and are located on a peninsula called Phra Nang Peninsula. The peninsula is only accessible by boat, so if you plan on going to Railay, which you should if you’re in the area, it would be best to make a whole day of it.

Beaches
The beaches on the peninsula are East Railay Bay Beach, Railay West Beach and Ao Phra Nang Beach. Tonsai beach is also on the peninsula, but is only accessible by boat and not by walking from the other beaches, due to the high limestone cliffs that surround it. Boats to Railay Peninsula are available from Ao Nang Beach and Noppharat Thera Beach, which are located to the West of Railay, and Ao Nam Pier, which is to the East of Railay

Wildlife
Aside from the beaches, there are some stunning caves, limestone cliffs and a rich array of wildlife such as Macaque monkeys and Hornbills. There are fines for feeding the monkeys however, so be careful.

Leisure activities
If you are adventurous, there are climbing courses on the peninsula and diving excursions. It’s a good idea to bring Baht cash here as well, because a lot of the restaurants, shops and cafes do not accept debit/credit cards.
